Riga Dialogue on Smart Cities for Climate Mitigation – Monitoring & Evaluation

You can improve only the things you can measure. With this in mind the city of Riga invites you to actively participate in a dialogue to explore and establish what constitutes smart city principles in relation to climate mitigation and what data defines and serves measuring this.

This venture will take place as an enquiry organised in 3 webinars of 90 min each. Each webinar will focus on one of the following 3 perspectives: transport, utilities and governance. Experts from each sector will share their experience and ideas on the given topic. All participants are welcome to participate in the discussion session with the experts after presentations. The working language of the seminars is English.

This dialogue is part of a larger project "Baltic Dialogue Platform on Smart Cities for Climate Mitigation" that intends to foster European dialogue and learning on smart cities for climate mitigation. The project comprises partners from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Germany. Dialogue is organized in each of the 4 countries. Baltic and German municipalities, municipal enterprises and energy agencies as well as other interested stakeholders form the target groups. The project is part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU).
